A Central New York screenwriter’s new movie is taking shape.
The Hollywood Reporter reports Karl Glusman, Maika Monroe and Burn Gorman will star in the upcoming psychological thriller “Watcher,” written by Skaneateles resident Zack Ford and directed by Chloe Okuno. According to Deadline, the film begins shooting this month in Romania.
“Watcher” centers on a young married couple, Julia (Monroe) and Francis (Glusman), as they move into a new apartment in Bucharest amid a citywide panic over a possible serial killer known as the Headhunter. Julia, who finds herself isolated in her new surroundings, starts suspecting someone is watching her through his window across the street.

Adding to its flagship space in the Fan, a Richmond art gallery wants to add an artistic flourish to the Libbie-Grove corridor.
Reynolds Gallery plans to open a second location at 401 Libbie Ave. this month. The space will serve as an accompaniment to its location at 1514 W. Main St. in the Fan.
Co-director Julia Monroe said the contemporary art gallery, now more than four decades in operation, had been looking into ways to expand its operation. It settled on expanding in Richmond after trying pop-up galleries in other cities.
