After an unusual Memorial Day weekend plagued by COVID-19 in 2020, Topsail Island Tiki Tours is looking forward to showing tourists the beauty of Pender County’s coast. Last year around this time, the charter service was shut down because of the pandemic, but they re ready for exciting days ahead  and so are others hoping to see dolphins on wildlife tours during the day or enjoy a boat party when the sun sets.  “We just turn up the music, everybody hits the dance floor and dances,” owner Alexander Schroeder said. “It’s a lot of fun.” Unlike last year when the charter service was closed during the holiday weekend because of pandemic restrictions, Tiki Tours is nearly booked for this week. It’s one of many businesses on Topsail Island preparing for the unofficial kickoff to summer.
