JONESBOROUGH — Neill Wyche Duncan, 83, died peacefully in his sleep on May 16th, in Jonesborough, TN and with his family by his side. He is survived by his sons Bill (wife Carmen) and Shaw (wife Caroline), three cherished grandchildren (Felix, Ruby and Graham), his sister Sara Lee Lower and brother Bill Duncan, along with his nieces and nephews (Roy Lower, Randy Lower, Janet Cundiff, Rhett Hamiter, Todd Hamiter, Brad Duncan, Patti Russell, and Libby Bond), and a host of dear in-laws. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret Elliott, his parents, Ira and Julia Duncan, and his sister Louise Hamiter.

Lee Lady Flames Advance To Gulf South Hoops Championship Saturday, March 6, 2021 It is on to the championship round of the Gulf South Conference tournament for the Lee women s basketball team as they gained sweet revenge over host Valdosta State with a spine-tingling 74-71 victory. The Lady Flames advanced to face an old rival in Union University on Sunday at 2 p.m. The championship game will be played at a neutral site, the University of Auburn Montgomery.  I m so proud of this team and the way they re battling as a group. We showed such toughness those last few plays on both ends of the court, said Coach Marty Rowe after the victory.

Lee Women Advance In Gulf South Tournament Wednesday, March 3, 2021 Haley Schubert poured in a career-high 33 points in Tuesday s GSC Quarterfinal win at West Alabama. The Lee University women’s basketball team is moving onto the semifinal round of the Gulf South Conference tournament after a 70-61 victory over host West Alabama in the quarterfinal of the tournament on Tuesday evening.  The Lady Flames will continue the road journey on Friday facing top-seed Valdosta State. Lee is 1-2 against the Blazers this season but dropped the last meeting in an overtime thriller. The winner will advance to the championship round at a neutral site to be determined.
