We’ve reported on the new Portland Autonomous Zone that BLM/Antifa people have erected. They’re fighting, they claim, to prevent a family from being evicted from a red house that had been foreclosed on and sold in 2018. But the people who live there are refusing to leave.
As we previously noted, Antifa has been camping out with them for months, causing all kinds of trouble in the neighborhood, generating a lot of criminal response to the area.
In the past week, Antifa has created an “autonomous zone” called RHAZ, the “Red House Autonomous,” that has now taken up several blocks around the house. They have reportedly been stockpiling weapons and even have armed guards patrolling.

Several members of the Kinney family hosted a press conference outside the Red House on North Mississippi Avenue just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

William Kinney III, who uses the name William X. Nietzche, faced two infractions for physical mistreatment in April.
The son of a local family leading an eviction blockade was cited twice for physical mistreatment of puppies at their red-painted North Portland home, the Portland Tribune has confirmed.
Based on witness statements, Multnomah County Animal Services officers cited William Kinney III, who uses the name William X. Nietzche, with two infractions on April 6 of this year.
Kinney was sent mailers notifying him of the infractions, and instructions that physical abuse (is) not to be used as form of punishment. Any more violations could result in more fines and or fees, according to animal services spokesman Jay LeVitre.

With protesters’ occupation of the North Portland neighborhood around the so-called “Red House on Mississippi” rounding its fourth day, it remains unclear if there is a peaceful path to resolving a conflict that started two years ago, when a mixed-race family’s long-time home was foreclosed on by their lender, leading law enforcement to try to remove them on Tuesday.
The Kinney family and their supporters have cast the fight as a continuation of the long saga of gentrification, discrimination and predatory subprime lending that has gutted Portland’s historically Black neighborhoods and replaced them with yuppified apartments and condos.
