Boston Mountain Rural Health Center holds grand opening
Boston Mountain Rural Health Center celebrated its new Mountain Home medical clinic opening Thursday with a ribbon-cutting that featured hot dogs and music from KTLO.
The clinic with be run by Dustin Bentley, a family nurse practitioner who formerly worked for 12 years in Baxter Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room. He is joined by Ashton Jenkins, a fellow nurse from Baxter Regional and Julie Small, an X-ray and lab specialist that also worked in the emergency room.
“I just know he’s going to blow up with his patients,” Small said. “He’s just smart, and he’s got a good personality. He’s good at what he does.”
The wall of silence at the school was partially broken on Wednesday night when John Erkkila, the chairman of the St Peter’s Trust Board, sent a statement to parents and caregivers at the school. “WorkSafe has been notified of concerns about the wellbeing of some of St Peter’s staff and is making inquiries,” he wrote. “Following a board representative meeting with WorkSafe, the board subsequently and immediately began an independent investigation which is ongoing. The school continues to work with WorkSafe.

A staff member at St Peter s School in Cambridge complained about workplace bullying to watchdog WorkSafe in Term 1, the board has confirmed.
In an email - which also acknowledges the slow release of information to parents and caregivers - board chairman John Erkkila revealed further details and said the board had been contacted by WorkSafe in term one that there had been anonymous complainants making concerning allegations of workplace bullying and that WorkSafe was making inquiries.
