Laramie Jubilee Days Celebrating Eighty Years

Downtown Laramie Laramie Jubilee Days, which is known as Wyoming s Hometown Celebration, has been an annual event since 1940. It is marking its 80th anniversary this year. The Jubilee Days is a week-long celebration from July 3-11 with different events almost daily. Shawn Faxon, the Vice-Chair for Laramie Jubilee Days, said that their regular rodeo events, mutton busting, and popular activities like the Brewfest runs through the weekend. In addition to rodeo events, we ve got the carnival. They ve got a couple of new rides that they brought this year, including a grab-a-tron and then of course street dances with some live music, said Faxon. The chili cook-off and parade on Saturday. All the normal events that everybody knows and loves from Jubilee days.
