MANISTEE Manistee is one of three counties selected to participate in a research project that will develop and test the effectiveness of a financial abuse prevention program. The educational program is aimed at elders with cognitive decline living in rural communities in Michigan.
While everyone should be aware of the risks for financial abuse, individuals with cognitive impairment, especially the elderly, are more prone to be victims of fraud and abuse.
