Minor boy ‘sexually assaulted’
A minor boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by a shopkeeper on Sunday.
According to the police report, the 14-year-old son of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Shamsabad went to a grocery store to buy cigarettes where the suspect allegedly raped him.
The case has been filed by Imtiaz Ahmed, a resident of Farid Chowk Millat Town. Police arrested the suspect and registered a case against him under Section 377 (Unnatural offences) of Pakistan Penal Code.
Incidents of sexual violence against women and minors have been rampant across the province.
Last month, a 17-year-old boy was raped allegedly by Abdul Ghafoor in Jaranwala Road area near Yasin Chowk.

FAISALABAD: Some 2,866 more senior citizens have been vaccinated against COVID-19 on Wednesday. According to District Health Officer Dr. Ata-ul-Monam, 42,793 people had been vaccinated so far. He said 32,810 had been given the first dose of the vaccine while 9,983 have been given the second one.
He said the coronavirus vaccine doses were administered to senior citizens at vaccination centres established at Sports Complex Samanabad, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Samundari New Building, Sports Complex Chak Jhumra, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital New Building Tandlianwala and Rural Health Center New Building Khurrianwala. He said the process of monitoring the centres was also going on and record was also being updated on daily basis.

A suspected robber was shot dead in police encounter while he was fleeing after alleged robbery near on Jhumra Road. While the suspect’s accomplice managed to escape. The robber killed in the encounter turned out to have a record of 18 cases.
Police handed over the body of the slain dacoit to his heirs after postmortem and registered a case under the provisions of murder, attempted murder and interference in government work and started searching for his accomplice.
According to details, robbers on motorcycles snatched Rs10,000 cash, identity card and motorcycle number from Zeeshan Liaqat Ali and Inzamam-ul-Haq coming on Sahiyanwala Road from Kharrianwala near Jhumra Road Check No. 164 RB Bulgan. Meanwhile, the robbery victim Zeeshan informed the police at Rescue 15. On which SHO Chak Jhumra Sub-Inspector Roy Arshad chased the suspects.
