+ July 21, 2021 WITH travel restrictions slowly being relaxed and vaccination roll-out ramping up, people are starting to make travel plans again.
To showcase travel destinations and cultural highlights in the north, NLEX Corporation recently launched the first leg of its NLEX Lakbay Norte program. This first run was held in historic Bulacan, in cooperation with the Provincial History, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office (Phacto).
NLEX Lakbay Norte is an annual media familiarization tour that aims to promote and accelerate tourism development in the northern part of the country. As the main gateway to the progressive north, the NLEX-SCTEX expressways provide the safest, most comfortable and efficient way to access the areas like Bulacan.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and NLEX Corporation today (February 19, 2021) formally opened the P1.6 billion, 8.2 km Subic Freeport Expressway (SFEX) expansion linking Bataan, Zambales, Pampanga and the rest of Central Luzon through the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.
NLEX Corp. built the new expressway despite the pandemic to accelerate business activities and facilitate the flow of goods between the economic zones in Clark and Subic.
CALOOCAN CITY, Jan. 31 (PIA) Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar pointed out over the weekend that the projects under the Build, Build, Build program of the Duterte administration would continue amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
During a televised report over the weekend, Villar stressed that each infrastructure project contributes a lot to the quick recovery of the economy, in providing jobs, and in the development of rural areas. December 20, 2020 THE North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation activates the seasonal “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” (SMSK) motorist assistance program for the expected surge in traffic volume during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Now in its 11th year, the SMSK will continue to enhance all services along the NLEX-SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway) for a more comfortable journey.
From December 18, 2020 to January 4, 2021, NLEX will beef up its operations to further provide convenient and safe travel to motorists. Traffic monitoring teams will closely monitor high volume toll plazas such as Balintawak, Mindanao, Karuhatan, Bocaue, San Fernando, Clark South, Tarlac and Tipo.
Close to 1,200 patrol crews, traffic marshals, security teams and RFID Assist Squads will be deployed at strategic areas of the expressway to ensure safety and provide immediate assistance to motorists. They will continue to observe safety protocols so motorists will be safer and more protec
