Our last family outing to a public place was to a dentist appointment for my three daughters. To consider a dentist appointment an outing and not just an appointment or errand is one of the many things that have changed for our family this last year thanks to the pandemic.
As I watched my five-year-old daughter stand on her tippy toes and try her best to get the attention of the receptionist and make conversation, I realized how much she must miss socializing.

I did not have the luxury of growing up learning anything land-based. I grew up indoors learning to cook, clean, sew and watch the news. That being said, I did learn great things, but it was indoors with my grandmother and aunts.
When the opportunity came to learn about the land, I took it and I’ve been slowly learning for the past three years. Hunting still makes me uncomfortable. As a child I dreaded the outdoors and was scared of most animals and insects.
