It s so natural, the Oscar-winning actress told The Christian Post. I feel like one of our closest connections is our faith â with having that background coming from the church, which I completely understood instantly,â Hudson said of Franklin.Â
Before her death in 2018, Franklin had taken Hudson under her wing and offered advice to the young star. Playing Franklin in the film was an honor, said the âAmerican Idolâ alum.Â

TV actress and Broadway star Amanda Jane Cooper admits that her success led to a life of destruction until someone introduced her to the true love of Jesus.
Cooper, who s wellknown from her roles in âGlee,â âBones,â and âCSI,â as well as her starring role as Glinda in the hit Broadway musical Wicked,  revealed that as her dreams became a reality her well-being took a turn for the worse.Â
âSuccess started to slowly become my god and I said, âOh, OK. If I can achieve this, if I can, if this role or something . then I ll, I ll be enough,â she recalled in the latest White Chair film installment of I Am Second. Â
