Dua offered for legendary star Dilip Kumar

PESHAWAR: Fatiha Khwani was arranged here on the Warsak Road for the late film legend Mohammed Yusaf Khan who was popularly known by his screen name of Dilip Kumar.
The legendary actor of the subcontinent was born in Peshawar city on December 11, 1922 passed away in Mumbai on July 7 at the age of 98, leaving behind a large number of fans to mourn his death.
The dua ceremony was held at the Gulshan-e-Aziz, Warsak Road, Peshawar, the residence of the ruling party Senator Mohsin Aziz who is the son late Haji Aziz Jan, a widely respected businessman and the first cousin of late Dilip Kumar.

PESHAWAR: The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has appreciated the government for consulting the business community to set up Pakistan’s Land Port Authority (PLPA).
In a press release, the SCCI hoped the government’s initiative would discourage illegal trade and remove hurdles in the way of bilateral and transit trade with Afghanistan as well as the Central Asian Republics
The press release quoting SCCI Senior Vice-President Engineer Mansoor Elahi said the establishment of the authority would facilitate the business community, including exporters and importers.
He was speaking at a meeting at the Customs House here on Saturday.

FPCCI elects Sarhadi to transit trade body

PESHAWAR: The noted business community leader, Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, has been elected deputy convener of the Afghan Transit Trade Central Standing Committee of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce (FPCCI) and Industry.
The election has been notified by the FPCCI President Nasser Hyatt Magoo.
Sarhadi has been associated with the Customs clearing and forwarding and Afghan transit trade for the last 50 years. He has always represented the business community on a number of committees to help resolve their issues.

PESHAWAR: The wife of noted business community leader and Frontier Customs Agents Association President Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, passed away after a brief illness.
Her funeral procession was taken out from the family residence, House No 99, Street No 5, H/2, opposite Haji Turangzai Sahib Market, Phase-II in Hayatabad.
She was laid to rest at a well-attended funeral.
The deceased was the mother of Imranul Haq Advocate, Naumanul Haq, Zeeshanul Haq and mother-in-law of Bakht Baidar and Umar Sani. Her rasm-e-qul will be offered today (Friday) after the Juma prayer in Hayatabad.
