Authorities finding difficulty in managing crowds there
Faced with criticisms over the conduct of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, the district health authorities are mulling over winding down the mega vaccination camp at Jimmy George indoor stadium.
During the initial phase of the drive, the indoor stadium enabled the district administration to inoculate sizeable numbers, even while ensuring physical distancing.

At least in Dallas, there is a history that one might take a look at. I think it was Dallas ISD that provided credit cards to employees with no controls for use. That turned in to a multimillion-dollar fiasco.
Again, what could go wrong with “constitutional carry”? Ask any of the law enforcement agencies in Texas for their thoughts on permitless carry. So far, I haven’t hear of one that supports it.
Again, what could possibly go wrong? Look at the constitutional prerogatives that we already have that we don’t use voting, for instance. Why do we want to provide more opportunities (for disaster) when we don’t use the rights that we already have?

1,572 person recover, oxygen cylinders being procured
The district’s COVID-19 caseload continued to touch uncharted levels as 3,940 people were diagnosed with the disease in 24 hours. The test positivity rate rose to 24.3%. The active cases’ count stood at 23,000 on Thursday. As many as 1,572 people recovered from the illness. Twelve healthcare workers were among those who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The number of people who were quarantined has gone up to 64,569 in the district.

Striving to prevent unruly scenes that disrupted the vaccination drive on Monday, the district authorities have chalked out a strategy for streamlining the public headed to the Jimmy George indoor stadium.
Armed with additional deployment from the Armed Police camp, the police will permit entry only on the basis of the appointment time slots. Those arriving much earlier will be sent back to avoid unnecessary crowding. No request for spot registration will be entertained.

Special arrangements have been made to inoculate everyone who have received appointments for specific days. Those arriving to receive the doses must strictly adhere to social distancing norms at the centres.
