A US judge has rejected a request by pop singer Britney Spears to remove her father from his role in overseeing her guardianship.
The pop star’s lawyer asked a Los Angeles court to end Father Jimmy Spears’ control of her property in November of last year.
The lawyer said the star is “afraid of her father” and wants to dismiss him as her sole guardian – a role he has held since 2008.
Although the request was denied, the ruling is not in response to Spears’ sensational testimony in court last week.
