On Bluesville, New York City s Swingadelic focuses on the bluesy side of big band music. The Jim Waller Big Band funks it up on A Fresh Perspective. Bluesville Groovy is the word for the bluesy big-band swing of this good-time set from Swingadelic, a mainstay of Restaurant Row s Swing 46 Jazz and Supper Club in New York City. Supplied Merv Andrews Happily returns to the birdcage after his Grand National Hurdles victory on Gay Fellow at Riccarton in 1950. OPINION: Merv Andrews was not only one of the most respected racing trainers in the land, he was one of only a few to train and ride a New Zealand Cup winner. This is the Merv Andrews who won 101 races as a jockey on the flat and over fences and a further 541 as a trainer, putting him in the vicinity of Manawatū racing greats Eric Temperton, Noel Eales and Eric Ropiha. Approaching his 93rd birthday, Andrews lives on in good health in Palmerston North, still follows the races and has interests in two young horses.

Johnson County OKs Land Applications – Sheridan Media

The Johnson County Commission recently approved some land use applications brought before them by County Planner Jim Waller, including a boundary line adjustment, and a subdivision final plat. The boundary line adjustment, between landowners Cindy Barlow and the Robert and Margaret Twing Family Trust, conveying roughly eight-tenths of an acre from the Twing Family Trust to Barlow. A one-lot minor subdivision final plat, requested by Willis Swenson, was explained by Waller. The 5.1-acre parcel was approved for the minor subdivision.
