PFF: Giants have two of NFL’s best 32 defensive linemen New York’s interior line was stacked in 2020 New York Giants defenders Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence have both earned spots on Pro Football Focus’ list of the top 32 interior defensive lineman. PFF released its list Tuesday morning. To the surprise of few, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald took the top spot, the fifth year in a row he has done so. Williams grabbed the ninth spot while Lawrence, the Giants first round pick in 2019, took 16th spot. Here’s what PFF had to say about both players:

Related Irving was expected to make a strong push to make the roster. With him gone, there are currently six defensive ends who will either be on the 53-man roster or make a push to near a roster spot in Las Vegas. However, the Raiders likely won’t keep more than five defensive ends longterm. Let’s look at the group: Yannick Ngakoue Yannick Ngakoue: The Raiders hope he is the best player on the defense, that’s why thy signed him to a two-year, $26 million deal this offseason. The Raiders expect Ngakoue to dramatically improve their sack production. He has 45.5 sacks in five NFL seasons.

Notably, the bullpen blew Friday night’s game, which ended in a walk-off loss. And Saturday’s game was a poorly-pitched game all around outside of Drew Smith’s work as the opener in that contest. However, bright spots this week included David Peterson’s performance in Friday’s game and Taijuan Walker’s outing on Wednesday. We’ll start with the positives. Taijuan Walker pitched an excellent game on Wednesday and earned his third win of the season in Matt Harvey’s return to Citi Field. Walker gave up just one run on four hits, walking three batters and striking out four. He also benefited from some fantastic defense played behind him. Walker going deeper into the game on a somewhat regular basis would be a huge boon to a rotation that missed
