FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A major undertaking is currently underway to profile the Veterans of Fort St. John and the North Peace.
According to Fort St. John North Peace Museum Manager and Curator Heather Sjoblom, there are two parts to this project for profiling local Veterans.
Sjoblom says the project first started out with three volunteers, Tamara Secrist, Warren Moore, and Jim McKnight, helping the Museum to compile a database of Veterans in the area from World War One all the way up to present time, such as where they were born and their service records.
Then coming out of that work, the second part of the project is where volunteer Lana-Gay Elliott is collecting more names and stories of locals who served our country. This information is also being collected as an expansion of the Museum’s database.
