Pupils at an Aberdeen primary school have spoken out against single-use plastics in a bid to help save the environment. One of the Primary 6 classes at Forehill School in Bridge of Don wrote to Aberdeen Donside MSP Mark McDonald to make their views on the environmental issue known. On their behalf, Mr McDonald has written to Cabinet Secretary for environment, climate change and land reform Roseanna Cunningham to share the points they have brought up, and offer their suggested solutions to the Scottish Government for consideration.

Parents, carers and residents have taken part in a virtual consultation to find out more about the merging of two north-east primary schools. Aberdeenshire Council is currently carrying out a statutory consultation on an option to merge Dales Park School and Meethill School, both in Peterhead, placing them into the new Peterhead Community Campus. Council reports say the new building would be more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.

Miss (Miscarriage Information Support Service) was set up by Abi Clarke after she had a miscarriage and was left unsure of where to find advice. The organisation is now marking its fourth anniversary, having grown in recent years to offer multiple groups and a number of other services.
