Around 2 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a man attempting to stab people in Newhall near the intersection of 8th Street and Railroad Avenue, said Lt. Jim Royal, for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “A male white in his twenties threatened some people and had a knife,” Royal said. “He ran southbound on Railroad.” As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the man was potentially headed towards the Newhall Metrolink station or the Bridge to Home shelter in the area and is still outstanding, according to deputies on scene.
