I’m trying different formats for the recruiting posts. If you’re keeping track of all the names you can get much better recruiting coverage from the paid sites dedicated to it. If you’re just trying to get oriented, these posts are for you. I update the 2022 Recruiting Board under Useful Stuff every week or two.

The Florida Gators picked up a big transfer at running back last year in Demarkcus Bowman but they’re looking for their back for the 2022 class.
One name that’s high on the board is running back is Gi’Bran Payne (5-10, 190, Cincinnati, OH. LaSalle) who says he talks to the Gators often.
“They’re recruiting me hard,” Payne said of Florida. “I’ve been in contact with every coach on staff from time to time but mostly Coach [Greg] Knox and Coach [Dan] Mullen.”
Running backs coach Greg Knox has explained to Payne how his game would be used in Florida’s offense if he comes to Gainesville.

Notre Dame is involved with a number of talented running backs in the 2022 class, and one of the better backs on the board - and in the country - has put Notre Dame in the Top 5. That would be Cincinnati LaSalle runner
Gi Bran Payne, who place the Fighting Irish in his top group along with Alabama, Florida, Penn State and Northwestern.
At 5-10 and 190 pounds with a low, squatty build, Payne has the frame you want in a between the tackles runner. He s strong, powerful and possesses impressive balance. Payne is a quick footed running back with suddenness that allows him to quickly plant and drive though holes, but that also make him effective in space.
