What Do Tigers Dream of?
Obviously the craziest story of the week is 9-month-old India the tiger, who caused a stir on Motherâs Day by prowling the front lawn of a West Houston home.Â
When neighbors and an off-duty deputy (rightfully) freaked out, a man managed to get the big cat back inside, then loaded her into a white Jeep Cherokee, then sped away from police and got away, according to the Houston Police Department.

These and other surprising revelations come via Yelp, the crowd-sourced review website, which has just published its list of the top 100 restaurants in Texas with San Antonio’s Comfort Cafe at the top. The Houston area does well overall with 21 entries, led by Midtown pizzeria The Gypsy Poet at No. 2. Other local businesses in the top 20 include: Kat s BBQ in Santa Fe (third)
Austin burger shack grabs No. 7 spot on Yelp’s top Texas restaurants Yelpers love JewBoy Burgers. Austin restaurants are getting a shout-out from Yelp. The crowd-sourced review website recently released its list of the top 100 restaurants in Texas, with more than 20 Austin area eateries proving they’re worth their salt, at according to Yelp reviewers. Austin’s JewBoy Burgers, the popular food truck turned brick-and-mortar burger shack on Airport Boulevard, flipped its way in the No. 7 spot on the Yelp list, making it the top Austin eatery based on Yelp ratings. In the eternal battle to best inform diners on where to eat in the world (
The list went live Wednesday morning, and it showcases a number of Houston-area restaurants. The top-10 features friendly Midtown pizza hotspot The Gypsy Poet, which ranked second in the entire state (and has a hard-to-achieve five-star Yelp rating over 220-plus reviews); Tony s Italian Delicatessen in Montgomery, which is known for its East Coast-style hoagies and ranked fourth overall; and Robin s Snowflake Donuts & Cafe in Spring, which came in sixth. Also, Kat s BBQ in Santa Fe ranked third.

A Yelp list released on May 12 crowned seven San Antonio restaurants among the best in Texas, with one local cafe even taking the top spot.
Comfort Café landed at No. 1 in Yelp s Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas for 2021. The Gypsy Poet in Houston took second place while Kat s Barbecue in Santa Fe claimed third.
