Almost every Indian who has used a mobile phone over the last few months has heard the above sentence. This played as Indiaâs COVID awareness caller tune for months. The voice-over (VO) artist Jasleen Bhalla, who lent her voice for the nationwide campaign can now be heard in Axis Bankâs awareness film about vaccine registration fraud.

For most part of the Covid-19 pandemic, while making phone calls in India, people would be greeted by a caller tune that began with a coughing sound, followed by a cautionary note on Covid-appropriate behaviour by actor Amitabh Bachchan. Covid-19 se pura desh hi nahi pura vishwa ladd raha hai (Not just India, but the entire world is battling against Covid-19), the voice said. Following this, Amitabh Bachchan would go on to elaborate about the importance of Covid-appropriate behaviour like frequently washing hands, wearing mask and maintaining social distancing to avoid spread of the deadly virus.
