ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has tasked the ministers to stay in contact with the members of the national and provincial assemblies from the ruling party and also contact people with whom they have personal relations for the upcoming Senate elections.
The premier said while addressing the federal cabinet meeting Wednesday that tickets were given on merit in the Senate elections, as the PTI respects the viewpoint of its workers.
“We want to curb the use of money in Senate elections,” the premier said, according to Geo News. He said he would personally monitory election matters.

MULTAN: The association of the vendors providing the public address system protested the arrest of their colleagues ahead of the public gathering of the Pakistan Democratic Movement in Lahore on Dec 13.
Association chairman Mustafa Heera and other office bearers told reporters that the Gulgashat police arrested association’s founder Muhammad Musharraf Javed Qureshi and his two employees.
Demanding the immediate release of the arrested people, they said the public gathering was going to be held in Lahore whereas the police were arresting the vendors in Multan.
They warned if the police did not release the arrested people, they would establish a protest camp at Kutchery Chowk besides launching a province-wide protest demonstration drive.
