The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware will screen the documentary “For They Know Not What They Do” via Zoom at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, and in person at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 4, at UUSD, 30486 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Lewes.
State Sen. Sarah McBride will join a post-film discussion at 8 p.m., June 4, in person and on Zoom. The movie, whose title is based on a biblical expression, is a compelling, award-winning documentary that shows the uneven path to equality for LGBTQ persons. It follows four families who are navigating issues of faith regarding sexual orientation and gender identity of their children. The screening is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

David Robert Howell, 68, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., after a valiant fight to recover from a heart attack. He was born in Milford Feb. 25, 1953, to Harry and Evelyn (Miller) Howell.
David graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 1971, and studied accounting at the University of Delaware. He owned a button business in Georgetown for over 30 years, and was always met with lots of questions when he told people he sold buttons for a living. David was involved in the Georgetown Little League program for many years with his children Amber and Matt. He was an avid basketball and tennis player, and enjoyed playing tennis with his kids, grandkids, and friends at The Plantations in Lewes. David also enjoyed ballroom dancing, after being talked into taking dance lessons by his wife. The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware (UUSD) will host their 2021 Zoo Online Auction starting Saturday, May 15, at 10 a.m., and running through Saturday, May 22, at 4 p.m. The public is being invited to sign into the auction website at fundraiser.bid/uusd, where they can bid, purchase and pay for items online.
Shoppers can pick up purchased items on Sunday, May 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the UUSD church located at 30486 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Lewes. Socially-distanced masked volunteers will place purchased items into shoppersâ cars. Some larger auction items will include delivery, and other pick-up arrangements can be made instead of Sunday, May 23, if necessary.

Old Wood Delaware has announced it will open a second location in the historic Preservation Forge in downtown Lewes.
The company also has a location on Route 9 just east of the Route 5 intersection in Harbeson.
Old Wood Delaware is a full-service reclaimed flooring and furniture manufacturer based in Queen Anne, Md. More than 30 years ago, the owners purchased an old lumber mill from the 1930s and modernized the aging sawmill into a 40,000-square-foot warehouse and production facility geared toward manufacturing specialty wood products.

Gingham + grace clothing boutique owner Jami Jackson will host the grand opening of its new Harbeson showroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 16.
COVID-19 guidelines for wearing face masks and social distancing will be followed. To sign up for a time slot to attend, go to the gingham + grace clothing group on Facebook.
Jackson launched the business on social media in October 2018. Over the past two years, she has sold thousands of hand-selected, affordable pieces to customers in more than 30 states. Gingham + grace carries women’s sizes ranging from XS to 3X with an emphasis on S-XL. New items are posted for shopping on Facebook and Instagram every evening at 8:30 p.m., from Monday to Thursday.
