TRIBUTES have been paid to a personal trainer from Kearsley who died at the age of 28. Lewis Kirby ran his own business, Push Through Fitness, but struggled with his mental health for several years. Now his best friend Chelsea Nicholson has launched a fundraising page to raise money for mental health charities. Any leftover money will be used to plant a memorial tree with a plaque for Lewis. So far £3,800 has been raised, surpassing an initial target of £1,000. Chelsea is also planning a few fundraising events at a later date including a 10 mile walk to be done at midnight, as Lewis struggled with his mental health at night in particular.
BOLTON actress Diane Morgan is to star alongside Samuel L Jackson, Hugh Grant and Lisa Kudrow in a Netflix comedy event from the creators of dystopian anthology series Black Mirror. The streaming service describes Death To 2020 as a landmark documentary-style special that weaves together some of the world s most (fictitious) renowned voices with real-life archival footage spanning the past 12 months . Black Mirror s Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones will create the special with Morgan, who has regularly appeared as the dim-witted presenter Philomena Cunk on Brooker s Weekly Wipe, confirmed to take part. Following on from Brooker s annual TV Wipes, in which he offers a characteristically acerbic look at the year s highs and lows, Death To 2020 will tackle a year dominated by the coronavirus pandemic.
