Officers carried out five warrants in Toothill, Penhill, and Rodbourne Cheney yesterday. A man in his 20s was arrested at an address on Latton Close, Penhill, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and has been released under investigation. Two further arrests were made at an address in Stamford Close, Toothill, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and has been released under investigation. And a woman, also in her 30s, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and assault and remains in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
POLICE arrested two teenagers after a member of the public reported seeing weapons in a Toothill confrontation. Officers visited Dunwich Drive at 12.30pm today and carried out a search of the area before finding a large knife nearby and handcuffing two boys - a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old - on suspicion of affray. The suspects are in custody at Gablecross Police Station. Sergeant Georgina Romani, from the Swindon community policing team, said: “We know that people living locally will have seen an increased police presence in the area throughout the afternoon and we don’t want them to be alarmed.
