SIR – At a time when the centre of St John’s is closed due to roadworks and traffic is having to wend its way through our narrow residential streets, the Worcestershire Highways Department have now decided to do some roadworks in one of the roads that is currently being used by diverted traffic trying to find a way through. A length of Foley Road, from the junction of Georgina Avenue to Malvern Road has been closed off for roadworks. Whilst I know works have to be done from time to time, why do they pick a time when the area is already so chaotic?
