New Delhi, May 16 : Indian Railways has commissioned Wi-Fi at 6,000th railway station in Jharkhand s Hazaribagh district, the Ministry of Railways said on Sunday. With the commissioning of Wi-Fi at Hazaribagh Town falling under Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand in Dhanbad Division of East Central Railway as on May 15, Indian Railways commissioned Wi-Fi at 6,000 Railway stations, said the Ministry.
Indian Railways have started its journey by providing Wi-Fi facility at 1st Railway station Mumbai in January 2016. Thereafter, provided 5,000th Railway station, at Midanpore in West Bengal and reached 6,000th Railway station in Hazaribagh on Saturday.

New Delhi, March 9 : If you saw an act of violence being committed against a woman in a public space, would you step up and intervene? As per data from a recent report by Breakthrough India, 55.3 per cent have observed the discomfort of the woman/girl facing violence, and almost as many have intervened in an incident of violence against women in a public space. What I understand by bystander action is, you see something happening to someone and you re not comfortable with it, it might be overt or not, but at that point of time, speak out or try to come between the perpetrator and victim through some strategic move. Study finds over 78 per cent respondents have faced violence in public places
Most participants, particularly women, identified violence as a broad term, consisting of physical, mental, verbal, and sexual abuse.

NEW DELHI: A study on bystander behaviour has revealed that 38.5 per cent of them didn t intervene during violence in public spaces because they did not know what to do.
According to the study Decoding Bystander Behaviour: Actions to Address Violence Against Women 78.4 per cent of the respondents said that they had faced violence in public spaces.
The study by Breakthrough with support from Uber India and IKEA Foundation was conducted in Jharkhand (Hazaribagh district), Bihar (Gaya district), Haryana (Jhajjar district), Delhi, Maharashtra (Mumbai), Telangana (Hyderabad) and Kolkata, covering over 721 respondents through digital survey and 91 in-depth interviews.
