TULSA – If anyone came out to ONEOK Field Sunday afternoon hoping for a pitcher’s duel, they returned home disappointed. In the final game of a six-game series, the Tulsa Drillers spotted Northwest Arkansas a five-run lead before rallying with a seven-run inning and a six-run inning. And, it all occurred in the first three innings of the game. The end result was a record-breaking 23-8 win for the Drillers that gave them a four games to two series victory over the Naturals.

Dean’s List
Rand Al Baka and Teeba Al Baka were named to the winter 2021 Dean’s List at Knox College in Illinois. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have earned at least 2.5 credits in the term, with a grade point average of 3.6 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
Regional engineering contest winner
Jared Koenig, a Civil Engineering major at Youngstown State University, is a member of YSU’s Steel Bridge team that placed first at the Ohio Valley Student Steel Bridge Competition, qualifying for the national event in June.
Missions Baseball
The Missions have been outscored 15-3 in two games in Midland following a 9-2 loss Wednesday night. The Missions scored their first run in the seventh inning and had only two hits through eight innings.
The RockHounds came out of the gates strong Wednesday night and forced the Missions into their bullpen early. Midland scored a run in the first inning on an RBI triple from Jonah Bride.
The following inning was when starting pitcher Caleb Boushley ran into some trouble. The RockHounds scored three runs on eight hits in the second inning. Midland led 5-0 after three innings of play.

The minor leagues return today! Opening Day is Tuesday for most levels of the Oakland A’s farm system, marking the first time we’ve seen minors baseball since 2019 after last summer was canceled entirely amid the pandemic.
