Three killed, 7 injured in road accident

HARIPUR: Three passengers, including a woman, were killed and seven others injured when a rickshaw skidded off the road and fell into a ditch, police and eyewitnesses said on Wednesday.
Police quoted eyewitnesses as saying that a tri-wheeler carrying 10 passengers was on its way to Jhari Kass village from Harpur when its tyre got burst and the rickshaw fell down the road. Three passengers, including a woman, died on the spot. Seven passengers, including four women, were injured in the incident. The locals shifted the dead and injured to Trauma Centre where the condition of three was stated to be critical.
Player draft of first-ever Kashmir Premier League to be held at orphanage

The inaugural KPL will be played from April 1 to April 10 in Mirpur and Muzaffarabad.
The Kashmir Premier League s (KPL) first-ever player draft is scheduled to be held on February 10 at an orphanage named Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) in in Jhari Kass, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
KPL president Arif Malik told the English daily that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already issued NOC to the league to stage the extravaganza in late March.
“We are planning to hold the player draft in the company of orphans of KORT. Since the main purpose of the league is to promote the Kashmir cause so our efforts would be to take it as close as possible to the Kashmiri people. There is no better place than the orphanage to hold the draft as they really need our support. HARIPUR: Three teenage cousins were killed on road, while two brothers were shot dead in separate incidents here on Wednesday.
SHO city Siddiq Shah said three cousins were on way to their home from Haripur city on a motorcycle when a speeding dumper truck hit their bike, killing them on the spot.
They were identified as Ibrahim, Noman and Umar, residents of Tanda Jhari Kass village.
The rescuers shifted the bodies to the trauma centre.
Meanwhile, a man shot and injured two brothers in Braliyan village over a dispute regarding grazing of cows. The injured, Hasan and Qasim, were shifted to the trauma centre, where they expired.
