New York State has awarded $13 million in grants to environmentally conscious housing projects, and $1 million of that will go toward the Johnson Park Green Community Apartments in Utica.

UTICA, N.Y. – New York State has awarded $13 million in grants to environmentally conscious housing projects, and $1 million of that will go toward the Johnson Park Green Community Apartments in Utica.
The grants are part of the state’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The new complex will consist of three buildings containing townhomes for vulnerable populations making below the area median income.
