Iowa Department of Public Health Interim Director Kelly Garcia says that while the eligibility has been expanded, it will take time to fully meet the demand for vaccines. Finding a vaccination appointment has been a frustrating process. The Johnson County Public Health website has a page listing area vaccine providers; a link to that page is available below. The state of Iowa offers vaccinate.iowa.gov to direct residents to vaccine providers, and an Iowa City man has developed a Twitter account that updates open appointments at area providers.
