Q&A with John Wesley Wright posted on 5:12 PM, April 26, 2021 At the Virtual Summer Workshop (July 8-10), Wright presents the opening session, “Repertoire and Civic Engagement.” John Wesley Wright For 25 years, John Wesley Wright has served as vocal coach for men and women at various Ohio correctional institutions in addition to directing and teaching voice, opera, acting-for-singers, and leading workshops on African American song traditions. Wright is a presenter for the 2021 NATS Virtual Summer Workshop. In this show and tell/Q&A session, Wright will highlight ways to engage students and community and to address past, present, and ongoing issues through creative programming.

NATS to hold 2021 Summer Workshop, NSA as virtual events posted on 11:48 AM, March 4, 2021 Registration for the Virtual Summer Workshop and applications for NSA now open The National Association of Teachers of Singing is moving full steam ahead with plans to hold its 2021 Summer Workshop and National Student Auditions (NSA) as fully online events. The adjustment from in-person to virtual is necessary due to event planning concerns with the ongoing pandemic. The 2021 Virtual Summer Workshop will take place Thursday-Saturday, July 8-10, and this year’s theme is “Lighting the Spark: Inspiring Diverse Repertoire.” The workshop will offer a survey of diverse vocal repertoire designed to expand our musical horizons and inspire passion for performance. SU’s virtual spring Creative Writing Reading Series continues Wednesday, March 10, as SU creative writing faculty read from their works. Authors include Drs.
