Two 16-year-old were arrested by police after sneaking into a circus, fighting a cyclist, and crashing a car.
Two teenage tearaways may both be charged with drink-driving after neither admitted who was driving when they crashed. The incident involving the two 16-year-olds happened on Prince Albert Rd in Dunedin just before 9pm on Wednesday. The pair were found by police after failing to complete a U-turn and crashing into a parked car, Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said. Neither teen would say who was driving.

A Dunedin business is defending its actions after angry beach-goers accused it of endangering a threatened New Zealand sea lion and her pup as it worked on a city beach yesterday.

Dunedin, New Zealand has some new traffic changes. The Dunedin City Council announced they would be closing down a segment of the road to help protect a sea lion and her new pup, according to PEOPLE.
“We’ve closed John Wilson Ocean Drive to vehicles for the next month to allow some special residents to use the road safely,” the city council wrote on Facebook. “A New Zealand sea lion and her pup have taken up residence at the golf course next door and are regularly crossing the road to get to the beach.”

(CNN) A New Zealand council has announced a month-long road closure in order to allow a sea lion and her pup to reach the ocean safely.
John Wilson Ocean Drive in Dunedin will be closed after the New Zealand sea lions made their home at a nearby golf course and started regularly crossing the road to get to the beach, according to a Facebook post from Dunedin City Council published Monday. You can still visit the area by foot or bicycle, but please give the sea lions lots of space (at least 20m), continued the post.

We ve closed John Wilson Ocean Drive to vehicles for the next month to allow some special residents to use the road safely, the city council wrote on Facebook. A New Zealand sea lion and her pup have taken up residence at the golf course next door and are regularly crossing the road to get to the beach.
