May 3, 2021 A city councilor and the Franklin Park Coalition will host a virtual community meeting Tuesday night to discuss inappropriate use of dirt bikes and ATVs in the large Boston park. Councilor Matt O’Malley, who will attend the meeting with other elected officials, told The Boston Herald that loud late-night partying and driving are a “quality of life issue and an obvious public safety issue.” He said that noise complaints ebb and flow but that problems with dirt bikers and ATVs have been “particularly bad lately.” “We need to make sure we’re striking the right balance where we make sure people can enjoy the park and enjoy it well while recognizing that people live very close by,” O’Malley told the Herald.

T. Rex Adventure, a new exhibit that runs through Sept. 6, features an assortment of roaring animatronic dinosaurs. They include a 42-foot-long Tyrannosaurus rex, the fierce predator that stalked North America about 70 million years ago, and a 20-foot-long Plateosaurus, the long-necked plant-eater that used sharp thumb claws for defense against enemies during the Late Triassic period more than 200 million years ago.

As guests wander the paths of Stone Zoo, they’ll travel back in time and walk among the dinosaurs that once ruled the planet. This special exhibit features a 20-foot-long Plateosaurus, a plant-eater that roamed the Earth 200 million years ago, and a 42-foot-long T. Rex, a “famously formidable and powerful dinosaur.” An array of realistic animatronic dinosaurs, as well as dinosaur skeletons, will be nestled within the trees, bushes and undergrowth to impress visitors. “With moving, roaring, life-like animatronic dinosaurs, this exhilarating experience is not to be missed for both little and big dino-enthusiasts alike,” said John Linehan, Zoo New England president and CEO.

The family of a seven-year-old girl who died after being knocked down in west Belfast are inconsolable , a priest has said.
