I got my second COVID shot recently. The CDC says that after two weeks, I can return to patronizing my favorite restaurants. There will still be some risks. There are mutant variants of the virus out there and the vaccine may not protect against them.
I will follow the CDC guidelines and continue to wear a mask because it is still possible for me to transmit the virus to others. Why would I not want to protect my friends? Is wearing a mask so cumbersome? We are all looking forward to some measure of normalcy and we can get there if we cooperate. Do your part by getting the vaccine when you can and wear a mask.
