New Jersey Theatre Alliance presents Hudson Theatre Works reading of “Closing Times”, a play by Derek Murphy, on March 25th at 7:30 p.m. This event is part of the Alliance’s Stages Festival, the state’s largest annual theatre festival, which provides free and discounted theatre events for all ages throughout the months of March, April, and May. This event is free.

Helena school board selects Rossiter principal Weltz as top choice for superintendent job

HELENA â Helena Public Schools leaders have named their choice for the districtâs next superintendent.
Trustees voted Friday afternoon to pursue a contract with Rex Weltz, the current principal of Rossiter Elementary School and the former superintendent of the Polson School District. The decision came after the school board held final interviews Friday morning.
The other finalist was Kevin Aten, the superintendent of the Bayfield School District in Bayfield, Colorado. Board members said both were extremely strong candidates.

The Helena Public Schools Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Friday to authorize Chair Luke Muszkiewicz to begin negotiations with Rex Weltz for the district s superintendent position.
Weltz is the current principal of Rossiter Elementary School and the former superintendent of Polson Public Schools, a K-12 district of 1,650 students. Weltz began work as Rossiter s principal in fall 2020. He has been a professional educator in Montana and Alaska since 1994 and also served as principal of Polson High School, Forks High School in Forks, Washington and Knik Elementary School in Wasilla, Alaska. He holds a master s degree in educational leadership from National University in California.
