The players come from all over the British Isles with Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Suffolk all represented. Midfielder or striker Darryl Knights is a name which may already be familar to some fans, the Ipswich-born player having made appearances for the England U16s. Left-sided defender Stuart Ainsley, from Fekixstowe, is the son of George Ainsley who was a Town youth player in the 70s alongside the likes of John Wark and George Burley. Ainsley junior has been with the club since he was 10 years old.

Osman to Host Escape to Victory Screenings to Raise Funds for Beattie Statue Tuesday, 23rd Apr 2019 12:12 Russell Osman will be hosting screenings of Escape to Victory on June 12th and 13th at Greshams to raise funds for The Beat Goes On, the campaign for a statue of Blues legend Kevin Beattie, who was Michael Caine’s body double in the 1981 John Huston-directed film. Osman, who played prisoner of war Doug Clure, will be joined by other members of the cast, including John Wark, who was cast as POW Arthur Hayes, and Laurie Sivell, who was German keeper Schmidt, to recall tales from the making of the film.

Convicted killer s home is ransacked in a bid to finally find the remains of 17-year-old Hayley Dodd

Police are continuing the search at the former home of Hayley Dodd s killer Authorities are searching Francis John Wark in an attempt to find her remains  Last month Wark was acquitted of murder but was found guilty of manslaughter He was sentenced to 18 years in jail which is six years longer than the WA record If he complies to the no body, no parole rule Wark will be eligible for parole
