Cute animals can grow huge followings online. The most popular pet account on photography app Instagram is Jiffpom, a pomeranian dog, with 10.4 million followers. Such backing can also be lucrative, a sponsored post on his feed could net Jiffpom s owners as much as £25,000, according to data from marketing agency Pilot Fish Media.
Nala cat, the second most popular pet and most-followed feline with 4.3 million followers, could command a fee of more than £10,000 for a post.
