Former high-ranking Disney executive and TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer has been named chairman of the board at sports streaming service DAZN.
Mayer effectively replaces John Skipper, though Skipper will remain on DAZN’s board of directors and serve as a “strategic adviser.” Mayer was recently the CEO of TikTok before resigning in August. He was previously chairman of direct-to-consumer and international operations at Disney. In addition to running Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Hotstar, Mayer oversaw the company’s global ad, content and channels sales.

The Alabama Republican Party elected a new chairman at its winter meeting today in Montgomery.
The party picked John Wahl, a butterfly farmer from Athens, who was the only candidate to replace Terry Lathan. Lathan had announced in December she would not seek another term. Lathan has led the party since 2015.
Wahl has been senior vice chairman, the number two position, since 2019.
Highly Questionable and a national show on ESPN Radio, Jones scored a showcase with
High Noon, a talk show with Pablo Torre that seemingly put the two in position for future stardom. Tony Kornheiser predicted that Jones and Torre would eventually take over
High Noon appeared to be an ideal warm-up for that.
High Noon to find an audience, though viewers didn’t respond to the show either. For that, Jones blames himself and Torre, telling Strauss that their friendship didn’t translate into on-air chemistry, something with which Kornheiser and Wilbon thrived.
