The United States Provides Field Hospital Support to Eastern Cape and Free State
The U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has provided support for the South African response to COVID-19 through equipment and technical assistance provisions to COVID-19 field hospitals in the Free State and Eastern Cape. This support includes several tons of medical equipment, emergency oxygen, mobile x-ray units, and health worker training.

Ben Carson, the retired neurosurgeon-turned-2016 presidential candidate, is now the former secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban development.
Carson, on Wednesday, tweeted his thanks to Trump for allowing him to serve in the position. The HUD website no longer lists him in the Cabinet post.
Same for former Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, who like Trump is a Palm Beach resident. The Cabinet-level department s website lists Wynn Coggins as acting agency head on the Leadership page.
