Provided photo The Lyman Gilmore Musical Theater, Band, Arts, and Digital Arts programs have been bright spots for the Grass Valley School District (GVSD) for many school years! Unfortunately when the COVID-19 pandemic started in March 2020, these programs suffered a pause and setback. But now, thanks to the hard work, creativity and dedication of our staff and students, they are back and “The Show Goes On!” The Lyman Gilmore art programs offerings are high quality and are provided as an embedded elective within the school day. These classes provide students hands-on learning opportunities to create and invent across multiple art mediums.

Hatfield Senior Softball League donates nearly $4K to Manna on Main Street

Hatfield Senior Softball League donates nearly $4K to Manna on Main Street Bucks County Courier Times Members of the Montgomery County Senior Softball League of Hatfield recently donated $3,800 to the Manna on Main Street outreach organization, headquartered in Lansdale. The amount was the most raised in the organization’s 22-year history, despite having no fundraising activities due to COVID-19 restrictions.  The league’s present membership includes more than 200 senior softball players age 60 and older. The league, founded in 1999, has had nearly 500 “old-timer ballplayers” participate during the last 22 years.  Since 2015, the organization has held annual fundraisers to benefit a designated local charity. Proceeds are raised through various events and activities including a league softball tournament, a golf outing, the collection and sale of used golf balls and personal donations.
