BILLINGS, Mont. - A seventh Yellowstone County resident has died of COVID-19 related disease since July 1, RiverStone Health reports.
The individual was a woman in her 90s who died on July 3 at her home. RiverStone Health says the woman had not been vaccinated against COIVD-19 and had underlying health conditions.
The report was received through the Yellowstone County Recorderâs Office after death certificate review.
This brings the pandemic toll to 282 county residents lost since April 2020, with 71 deaths occurring since the beginning of this year.

Billings, MT â RiverStone Health was notified Tuesday of a seventh Yellowstone County resident who has died of COVID-19 related disease since July 1. This most recent death brings the pandemic toll to 282 county residents lost since April 2020, with 71 deaths occurring since the beginning of this year.
The most recent report was received through the Yellowstone County Recorderâs Office after death certificate review. The victim was a woman in her 90s who died on July 3, at her home. She had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 and had underlying health conditions.
COVID-19 Cases Rise Among Unvaccinated In Flathead, Yellowstone Counties
Flathead County officials say COVID-19 cases are on the rise. County health officials say many recent cases have come from unvaccinated people attending indoor events.
Flathead Health Officer Joe Russell says the average number of cases reported to the health department have risen since June.
“As of last Friday, we were 13.8 cases per day, up from around 10 for the month previous. It seems to be climbing even more,” Russell says.
Over the weekend, 44 new cases were recorded, bringing the average daily case count closer to 15. Russell says many recent cases have come from events where unvaccinated people gathered indoors.
