RESIDENTS are being asked to look out for a cat after it was injured in a Barrow park. Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and the RSPCA Furness and Barrow branch were called to Hindpool Urban Park at around 9:30am yesterday after a dog attacked a black cat. It is believed the cat was left with a ‘serious bite injury’ to its back leg and jumped onto a nearby property. However, the fire service were unable to retrieve the cat and it later disappeared from the park. There is now concern for the feline’s wellbeing with the injury feared to be life-threatening.
