OXFORD -â The next few months are expected to be very busy for Oxford Mayor Jackie Sergent as she seeks to win her sixth term in November against challenger Sherry Shavon Harris.
Sergent does not plan to deviate from the strategy that has helped her secure five terms as Oxfordâs mayor, which is to listen to concerns and questions from residents to make the city a better place for everyone.
âI never change my behavior whether itâs election season or not,â Sergent said. âI focus on the community, respond to requests and answer every question that comes my way. My goal is to keep being me while also representing the people of Oxford the best I can.â
