CLEVELAND, Ohio A week that started with dreams of clinching the playoffs against a one-win Jets team and the potential of an AFC North championship showdown against the Steelers in Week 17 ended with a thud on Sunday, and to feel like most of this happened outside of the Browns’ control isn’t unreasonable.
It started around 6 p.m. on Saturday night, when the Browns lost their top four wide receivers as high-risk close contacts of linebacker B.J. Goodson, who tested positive for COVID-19. The Browns also lost rookie linebacker Jacob Phillips.
