Mt. HERMON, Va. â One local Eagle Scout devoted his Saturday morning this week to building and installing a community literacy outlet in the Mt. Hermon neighborhood.
Jacob Wethington built a little lending library right outside the main entrance to Twin Springs Elementary School on Route 41, with the help of his father, Bobby Wethington. A little lending library is a little free library that entitles anybody to go up to it and take a book and leave a book, Jacob said. It s strictly for the people in the community to enhance their reading ability and the skills that they have. I think it will be good for the community and the kids who go to that facility.
