BILLINGS â Thereâs an epidemic apart from drugs or crime thatâs keeping city officials busy trying to keep up.
And that s abandoned vehicles left on the streets of Billings.
Billings police say in 2020 they rounded up 1,912 junk vehicles that were hanging around on city streets for days or even weeks. And as many as 30 are reported on a weekly basis, with roughly half of those picked up each week to haul away, according to officials.

As of Wednesday, 42 percent or 385,959 of the state's eligible population was considered fully vaccinated, compared to Yellowstone County at 40 percent or 54,576 people fully vaccinated, according to the state's tracking map.

BILLINGS â Appointments are filling up for the first week of Yellowstone County s centralized, community COVID-19 vaccination clinic, with a total of 2,250 first doses of vaccine available to be administered inside Cedar Hall on the MetraPark campus, said Greg Neill, RiverStone Health emergency response manager Monday.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, 37 health care workers from Billings Clinic, St. Vincent Healthcare, RiverStone Health and student nurses from Montana State University Billings will administer first doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

The Lockwood School Board voted 4-3 Tuesday night to give families the option of returning to full-time school.
Students had been attending two days a week in the middle and high schools and half a day elementary schools.
Some parents are happy with the decision to return to full-time school. Tons of excitement, said Amanda Hunt, a parent with the children in the Lockwood cshools. A lot of parents that I knew that wanted their kids back full time, they all made comments on Facebook and were texting about just how excited the kids were.
