Two men accused of rape and perverting the course of justice are named

Two men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged rape and perverting the course of public justice. Lee Justin Busby and Daniel Summers were brought before Teesside Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Busby is charged with committing an act or series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice in Newton Aycliffe.
The 49-year-old is alleged to have provided guidance to a victim of domestic abuse, which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice, between July 1 and 31, last year.

ADDISON COUNTY Car crimes kept Vermont State Police busy last week.
Early in the week troopers received a report of a theft of an automobile from an unlocked garage off Sunny Valley Drive in Starksboro sometime between 5 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 7 a.m. on Feb. 14. The thief went into the garage through an unlocked side door and stole the unlocked automobile with the keys that were left inside.
The vehicle is described as a silver 2012 Volvo XC60 with the Vermont license plate CGH 550.

ADDISON COUNTY Vermont State Police are looking for a man riding a tricycle who is the suspect in a series of break-ins at garages and thefts from vehicles along Route 30 in Cornwall in the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 12.
Police received reports of the thefts that occurred between midnight and 6 a.m. that day.
Numerous tipsters told troopers that a suspicious man was seen riding an adult-sized tricycle, with a wire basket behind the seat, from house to house on Route 30 in a southbound direction. The man was captured on surveillance video cameras at approximately 2:21 a.m., rummaging through multiple unlocked vehicles, and leaving a residence on a tricycle. Police described the suspect as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a light-colored baggy jacket, with dark colored pants.
