Santa Clarita was ranked the eighth safest mid-sized City in America due to its low crime rates.
Santa Clarita ranked the eighth safest city to live in out of 215 mid-sized cities studied across the nation, according to AdvisorSmith, a leading information resource for business advice and original research website.
“In this study, we used the most recently available data from the FBI, released in September 2020, which included crimes during calendar year 2019,” according to AdvisorSmith’s website. “Crimes considered in this report include violent crimes such as robbery, assault, rape and murder, as well as property crimes including burglary, larceny and motor vehicle theft.”

Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station To Host Several Free Catalytic Converter Etchings In May
For the third month in a row, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station (SCV Sheriff) is offering catalytic converter etchings to help curb catalytic converter thefts in the valley.
This month, the SCV Sheriff etching events are set to take place on Tuesday, May 11,18 and 25, Wednesday, May 26 and Thursday, May 27 with Reeves Complete Auto Center and Canyon Muffler in Canyon Country as well as RG Brake and Alignment in Valencia and can be accessed by appointment only.
